Life before birth - video lecture by Dr. Gary Parker

Quotes and comments;
- scroll down the page to find this presentation on biblical creation.

1. Darwin declared there were 180 useless organs in the body. He had no evidence for this great discovery, and based it on his own (nearly bottomless) ignorance. ie. if I can't understand x it means this is a 'vestigial' organ. (One of the stupidest ideas in science by the way.) This is 'science' at its absolute worst. To even call this kind of daydreaming, science is intellectual fraud. Darwin had NO idea what he was talking about. In my opinion this is evolutionism in a nutshell; it's metaphysical speculation based on ignorance.
- We now know that the idea of vestigial organs is fallacious. So I ask you; what explanation of these organs is most accurate? that they're 'vestigial' or that they were created for a purpose? In other words; what's more scientific... evolution or creation? (If science means the search for truth, the answer is obvious.)

Authority and Morality - audio lecture by R. J. Rushdoony

Quotes and comments;
- scroll down the page to find the lecture.

1. Rushdoony quotes a prof. Hill as saying "the greek invention of humanism was the great miracle of the world..." (or words to that effect)
- the whole point of humanism is that man is the center of the universe. This makes for great irony when humanists accuse christians of wanting to be at the center of the universe... claiming christianity put the earth at the center of the univrse etc. The truth is that christians do not put man (but God) at the center; it's humanists who put man at the center of the universe. In other words, Humanism is simply anthropocentrism.
- for Humanism man is the measure of all things; therefore religion (and all else) must be man made... made in man's image. (Natural man won't be happy until every atom of the world has the brand of man on it; ie. has been remade by man...

2. - Humanism is the invention man must obey not god but man; that is Humansim in a nutshell. This was the new thing (if it was new) the greeks brought into the world. For the theist man must obey god; for the humanist (a-theist) man must obey man. This leads inevitably to political tyranny as there is nothing beyond man for men to appeal to. (ie. since there is no god there is no absolute law... only the arbitrary opinions of the political elite.)

3. - Biblical theology insists that the only man who has a right to authority is the moral man; the man who obeys god's law... The man who violates god's law has no moral right to authority. (Rushdoony is quick to point out this is no way justifies any kind of violent revolution. Despite the slander of popular magazine articles he always insisted on democratic process.)

Inherently wind; a Hollywood history of the Scopes trial - audio lecture by David Menton

Quotes and comments;
- in the lecture he's referring to the Spencer Tracy movie.
- the music at times is deliberately off key; the worst renditions of 'old time religion' I've ever heard...
- I've seen this movie and in my opinion it's totally fallacious; no different than what the soviets did... soviet style propaganda... at its worst.

1. Scopes claimed he never taught the kids evolution... he claimed the kids were coached by the lawyers.. (he only taught 2 weeks of a biology course... when the regular teacher got sick...)

2. The textbook scopes was using was racist to the core.... ie. whites are vastly superior.... (this is what the great liberals of the time were defending.)

3. Nothing in this movie is true... it's almost 100 percent false... soviet propaganda at its worst.... (the makers of this movie were total liars and hypocrites)
- why you would anyone believe anything evolutionists say when they produced such a total lie as this movie? The theory of evolution is as factual as this movie.

4. - in a 1925 cartoon Bryan is shown throwing over a cliff all these great things; animal husbandry, navigation, the whole of agriculture, the law of gravity, mathematics, mechanical engineering, medicine, x-ray technology... and other things.. all for doubting darwin. (And evolutionists are even more lying and deceitful in our day. The very same garbage goes on constantly; just recently some clown claimed creationism would stop all progress in medicine and science. The lies never end; even if they are cartoonish lies... Who in the e. community protests against this slander? Know anyone?

5. In my experience evolutionists are about as honest as this movie. Try to find one that's spoken out against this movie... try to find even one, in all these decades! They've been tarred by their own brush; as this vast silence condemns them.

6. As just a small example of the movie's dishonesty; in the film Scopes is put in jai... but not in real life. (Bryan dies on the courtroom floor as another example; of which the movie replete from beginning to end. Bryan is asked if he's ever read the 'Origins' by Darwin; he says no, he doesn't need to read stuff like that. In fact Bryan had read Origins many years earlier. And on and on it goes.)

7. In my own opinion this is the most blasphemous movie the americans have ever produced. (As Henry Miller referred to his own work; 'it's a gob of spit in the face of God.)

8. H. L. Mencken (in his obituary of b.) said of Bryan; "he was filled with an almost pathological hatred of all learning..." (Bryan was a highly educated man; and this shows you the kind of price you pay for denying the lunacy of darwinism.)

9. Highly recommended. Christians need to realize evolutionists are lying through their teeth when they promote darwinism as a fact... and that they will go to any lengths to spread lies about both evolution and creation.

10. As more evidence of how phoney this movie is (and the evolutionists who made it) in today's society teachers are forbidden to offer any critiques of evolution. (Check the resources below.)

Resources;
a. Summer for the gods: the Scopes trial and America’s continuing debate over science and religion by Edward J. Larson - reviewed by Carl Wieland

b. The origins of life. In this interview Dean Kenyon talks about being forbidden to offer critiques of darwinism in the college courses he teaches. Here.

George Washington Carver - a short biography online

Quotes and comments;
- you might have to scroll down the page.
- George Washington Carver: 1864 - 1943 (A great scientist, inventor, creationist and christian.)
- an inspiring story for young and old.

1. 'As he would tell the story later, he went out to pray (as was his daily practice), and asked God why He made the universe. The Lord replied that was a mighty big question for a puny man. Carver tried a smaller question, why did you make man? As God kept narrowing the scope of his inquiry, he finally tried, “Mr. Creator, why did you make the peanut?” With that, the Lord was satisfied, and told him to go into his lab and find out.'
- and he discovered and invented about 300 ways to use the peanut. (And this was just one of the plants he eventually worked with.)
- I think too many of us spend too much time asking the huge questions, and ignoring the smaller questions.

Evolution: Possible? or Impossible? - an online book by James Coppedge

Quotes and comments;
- many evolutionists like to claim there are no strictly scientific critiques of evoltionary theory. There are in fact many such books and this is one of them.
- 10 of 14 chapters of the book are available online.
- the book applies the laws of probablity reasoning to molecular biology. In my view it conclusively shows that chance could never have 'created' the universe.

1. "To the student of protein structure the spontaneous formation of such an atomic arrangement in the protein molecule would seem as improbable as would the accidental origin of the text of Virgil’s “Aeneid” from scattered letter type." - A. I. Oparin

Strengths and weakness of Darwinism - audio lecture by Philip Johnson

Quotes and comments;
- scroll down

1. Richard Dawkins claims that if we ever encountered aliens the first thing they would ask us is, "do you know about evolution?"

2. Hitler's breeding program ideas came directly from darwin; via E. Haeckel...

3. Freudianism was a great failure in the reductionist program...

4. Francis Crick wrote a book called 'The astounding hypothesis' - the idea 'all your thoughts are merely neurons firing in your brain.' (If that's the case we can all ignore his book :=)

5. Darwin admitted the fossil record didn't validate his theory; so he claimed the fossil record was incomplete! (He later admitted the total failure of the record to validate the theory.)

The turtle god's handiwork - audio lecture by A. E. Wilder-Smith

Quotes and comments;
- scroll down the page.
- the late Dr. W-S was one of my favorite creationist authors and christian speakers.
- in this lecture you'll learn about turtles, but learn more about their Creator. (The more we learn about the creation the less plausible materialism becomes.)

The Baloney Detector - a guide to clear thinking.

Quotes and comments;
- David Coppedge uses the evolution/creation debate to teach people how to think critically. Highly recommended.

1. Eddington’s Theory; The number of different hypotheses erected to explain a given biological phenomenon is inversely proportional to the available knowledge.
- this is one of many interesting 'laws' he has posted in a sidebar.

The Grand Canyon and God's word - audio lecture by Dr. Gary Parker

Quotes and comments;

1. Evolutionists admit that all the oil on earth 'should have' leaked to the surface in less than 200,000 years.... this means the earth is far less old than this.

2. At Mt. St. Helen's we saw that a rock layer could be formed in minutes...

3. a spark plug was found in some fossil corral...

Occultism - audio lecture by R. J. Rushdoony

Quotes and comments;
- scroll down to find the lecture; recorded in 1974.

1. Rushdoony quotes Jerry Rubin as saying; "we create reality by living out our fantasies..."
- if that doesn't sound familiar, it should. This is what our political and social elite believe... and it's just a modern form of occultism.

2. Hegel said; "the rational is the real."
- this means what man can imagine, or what man believes to be rational constitutes reality... not god's created order. The idea man can control reality (or that reality consists of man's ideas) is the essence of the occult.

3. Rushdoony has been villified greatly; and in recent months especially it would seem. In my opinion he was the most important theologian of his time. People (in and outside of the church) hate him because he did his best to be faithful to God's word. (This is the one unforgivable sin in our time - especially among liberal christians.)
- there are about 30 lectures of his available free online; so see for yourself.

Oil on the Brain - audio interview with Lisa Margonelli

Quotes and comments;
- Lisa Margonelli (author of 'Oil on the brain') is interviewed on Financialsense.com.
- highly recommended.
- gas stations make most of their money off of non-gas items; margins are very small on gasoline. (I think she said a penny a gallon.)
- we hear no refineries have been built in 28 years; however she tells us the refineries themselves have expanded capacity 20 percent or so during this time.
- she travelled widely looking at all areas of the industry; including Iran, Nigeria, Venezuala, etc.
- sounds like an interesting book.

Jonathon Swift and the two moons of Mars - some comments from Donald Patten

Quotes and comments;
- in chapter 12. of his book 'The Biblical Flood and the ice age epoch' Patten comments on the curious incident of J. Swift (in Gulliver's Travels) having offered accurate information about the moons of Mars, some 150 years before they were discovered and described by astronomers.

1. "The Laputans, according to Swift, possessed superior telescopes to the Europeans.3 The Laputans apparently knew all about the satellites of Mars, their physical diameters, their orbital diameters, and their speed of revolution some 150 years before such was discovered by later astronomers who eventually built better telescopes."
- Isaac Asimov called this a mere coincidence; "the luckiest guess in all of literary history." (A not surprising comment from an opponent of Velikovsky :=)
- but I agree with Patten that this was no blind guess. It was probably based on either etymology or stemmed from a belief the ancient myths held accurate information about the heavens.
- if you check a source on etymology you'll see the moons (Phobos and Deimos) have roots for fear, dread, panic.
- it's Patten's claim that Mars once passed close enough to Earth that people could see these moons with the naked eye.
- In his poem Shield of Herakles, the Greek poet Hesiod offers the following description of Phobos:
"In the centre [of the Shield of Herakles] was Phobos (Fear) worked in adamant, unspeakable, staring backwards with eyes that glowed with fire. His mouth was full of teeth in a white row, fearful and daunting, and upon his grim brow hovered frightful Eris (Strife) who arrays the throng of men."
- people wonder how Swift 'guessed' one of the moons orbited 'backward' - I suggest it might have to do with this description of Phobos looking backward.

Are communists more religious than christians? - audio lecture by Francis N. Lee

Quotes and comments;

1. "Equal pay for equal work," said Chairman Mao, long before it became official policy in Canada. This bit of marxist policy gives politicians a lot of power and influence, which they use to force people to conform to their utopian plans and schemes.

2. With his claim marxists in our day are more religious than christians he means they are more dedicated to reconstructing society in terms of their worldview. He means they take their beliefs more seriously, that they're more confident of ultimate success.

3. A key to the communist view of education is the belief the State does a better job of educating children than parents do. The marxists believe all education must be based on Materialism. (Sound familiar? These are the same beliefs are gov. educators have in our day.)

4. A critique of communism is by no means obsolete. Contrary to claims of our media communism has not gone away; it is in fact the dominant worldview of our colleges and seminaries. (Where it's been called in good American fashion; Political Correctness, or just PC. Sounds almost cute.)

4. This is part 1 of a 2 lecture set.
- Lee also has an eight part lecture series on communism available at sermonaudio.com

Evolution vs. Science - audio lecture by George Pearce

Quotes and comments;

1. 'In the Galapugos islands a sign somewhere says of the local Finches, "there is no better evidence for evolution."
- and what amazing bit of evidence is there? Obviously it has to be incredible, right? Well, it appears beak length varies at times (during arid periods to wet) as much as a millimetre.
- this isn't evolution of course; it's merely a minute variation within a kind. (That this should be presented to school children as evidence of evolution is intellectual and ethical fraud.)
